Fast Facts
Is it safe to go to the hospital during COVID-19 pandemic? Doctors say yes.
Your hospital is safe. And if you need to go, you should. Hospitals are continuously updating safety procedures in lots of ways. No one knows how long the pandemic will last, and we need to make sure people are getting timely care. If you're having a medical emergency, please do not hesitate to proceed to the Emergency Department or call 911. The risks posed by ignoring symptoms of a heart attack, stroke, or other emergent health concerns may be far greater than the risks of seeking healthcare amongst the COVID-19 pandemic.
